I’m so glad that everyone is so excited about the giveaway!! Whoever is lucky enough to win will be very happy indeed 🙂 And I’m loving reading all of the responses of what love means to you. There are some wise blog readers out there…
I hope everyone had a fantastic Valentine’s Day! Mine turned out to be pretty great! I took the advice of some very wise women and I was my own Valentine and treated myself to a great day! And it has been a very long day and I am pretty tired so we’ll keep this short in sweet 😉
Breakfast was Valentine’s Oat Bran
Yeah… I tried. See the heart shape?
Not the prettiest thing ever but very yummy. It was the usual base of oat bran with blueberries, cinnamon/sugar, Mighty Maple, Crofter’s spread, and Naturally Nutty… I couldn’t decide between the nut butters so I had the best of both worlds 🙂
Lunch was going to be a SIAB but my blender died on me 😦 Said blender is now no more. So I had a delicious bowl of yogurt with some of the Nature’s Path Maple Cereal.
Not a vegetable in sight but yummy nonetheless.
Also a bowl of strawberries and pineapple
And… a chocolate cupcake!! Haha actually it was this topped with cacao bliss. 😀 Oh so good… oh so good.
I’ll explain more tomorrow on this amazing creation.
I then took myself shopping and bought some fantastic clothes. Since I saved money not having to buy anyone a Valentine’s gift this year, I figured I would treat myself… thereby spending said saved money. Oh well. I heart shopping.
I stopped by Starbucks and had a treat… a coffee with a splash of half and half and a splash of skim milk alone with some cocoa almonds from home. I had fun at Starbucks 😉 Hehe.
Then my mom took me out to dinner and a movie… yep, my mommy was my Valentine 🙂
We went to a local pizza place where I consumed a glass of wine, salad, and half of a 10 inch personal mushroom pizza. Oh it was good. Especially that wine… which I will admit left me a little buzzed. What can I say, I’m a lightweight.
Sorry for the not so good pictures.. best my Iphone can do.
We then saw Valentine’s Day. Yes, I know, chick flick and predictable but it was GOOD. I loved it. Even on this phase of hating Valentine’s Day. It was really entertaining and funny!!
THEN… there was ice cream. I had cookies and cream. And it was REAL ice cream guys.. homemade from a local place. I asked for one scoop and it was a HUGE scoop. And I ate it all. And told that little ED voice in my head that said I should’ve ordered the sugar free and only eaten half to go shove it. It was good 🙂
And today I am thankful..
- For my mom
- For random guys in Starbucks who decide to strike up a conversation 😀
- For ice cream + pizza
How was your Valentine’s Day?
"What we need to know about loving is no great mystery. We all know what constitutes loving behavior; we need but act upon it, not continually question it. Over-analysis often confuses the issue and in the end brings us no closer to insight. We sometimes become too busy classifying, separating, and examining, to remember that love is easy. It’s we who make it complicated." – Leo F. Buscaglia
