1. Give us a brief description of your blog and what makes it unique!
I blog at a VERY small blog called… Learning to Cook, Eat, and Enjoy Delicious Food.
I began my blog as a food/ healthy eating blog, but that didn’t really work for me… so I began writing about my recovery from Anorexia and I have been writing about my daily or weekly struggles since I stopped blogging about my daily eats.
2. Why do you blog?
I blog because it was through reading other blogs that I finally decided to get help for my eating disorder. I continue to write my blog and read others blogs because I feel like there is a GREAT community out there that supports all of us!!
3. What is your favorite thing about blogging? Least favorite?
My favorite thing about blogging is getting all of the support from all of my readers. I also love reading about new recipes and activities that I should try out in the future.
My least favorite thing is that people can be very immature and caddy when commenting on blogs. I don’t understand why people can’t keep their negative comments to themselves. Thus meaning that if you have something nasty to say about my blog and others, please keep it to yourself and x out of your browser for mine and other bloggers sites.
4. What is the best meal that you have ever had?
I think that the best meal I ever had was a cook out that my mom cooked for. She has an amazing marinade for chicken and she knows how to grill a great burger or steak. At this meal she also prepared cheesy potatoes, mandarin orange cool whip marshmallow salad, pineapple bake, and dirt cake (made with Oreos)! I am a very simple eater and you will probably never find me eating fish or a lot of red meat.
5. Name something unique about yourself that we don’t know.
My parents are both originally from the United Kingdom and as a result I have dual citizenship.
6. What is your favorite way to stay in shape? Why do you love it so much?
My favorite way to stay in shape is to take zumba, Pilates, and strength training classes at the gym. I love partaking in these classes because it ensures that I am getting a good workout without overdoing it. I have to be aware of the amount of exercise I do and if I do it on my own, I will most likely over do it!!
7. What is your guiltiest pleasure?
My guiltiest pleasure is most definitely going shopping. I love shopping so much that one of my chores in the week is to do the weekly grocery shopping for my family.
8. A favorite quote or phrase?
One of my favorite sayings is “If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all!!”

Congratulations on your ongoing recovery journey. I, too, am in recovery from a 15-year eating disorder, and I find that the blogging community can be incredibly supportive. I’m so happy to now have one more wonderful blog to add to my list. Keep up the great attitude!

I acknowledged my anorexia through reading about similar symptoms and experiences of it on other people’s recovery blogs as well, and that’s what started my whole process of recovery. I’m glad the same is true for you, and I wish you all the luck and strength in your ongoing battle. The community is a great place for support, and just remember that you’re never alone; there are so many of us walking this journey along with you.
