Day 3 started with the Breakfast of Champions… AKA, oatmeal!
Instant Strawberry oats!
Topped with Justin’s Classic Peanut Butter.
And a banana.
Don’t EVEN get me started on how long it took me to figure out how to work the microwave to cook it…
And then we headed off to the Cliffs of Moher… AKA, one of the most beautiful sights in all of Ireland. I kid you not.
We were getting better at the driving of the car at this point, go us!
Out of the city and into the country…
It was so bizarre to see what looks like the remains of a castle on the side of the road… kind of hit me that many of the ruins in this country are older than our country itself!
We stopped at a gas station and I had a random craving for chocolate milk..
And I was pleasantly surprised at the short and pronounceable ingredient list!
They have the cutest little houses…
We got a bit lost at one point…
But with scenery this beautiful, who really cares?
And we finally made it!
We had to climb up a bajillion stairs..
And then we had a delicious lunch!
Potato and herb soup…
With bread and butter
And bits of dessert! Apple pie with ice cream..
And this brown butter carrot cake…
We then shopped around at the Cliffs of Moor shops until an alarm goes off and we had to evacuate. True story… Still no idea WHY.
So then we commenced taking pictures.
Then, back on the road..
We headed to Galway, with some sightseeing on the way.
And we arrived in Galway!!! Quite possibly, my favorite city in Ireland. Yeah. For sure. Long story of WHY.
Galway also is home to the Spanish Arch, you can read more about it here.
My cousin decided to dip her toes into the ocean… just cause.
Onward to dinner!
I was starving and started with a HUGE salad that was probably the best salad I’ve ever had in my entire life.
And I had some kind of cod dish for dinner that had a hollandaise over it, along with a little salad and roasted potatoes. I INHALED it. It was SO SO good. But then again, it was super fresh as were in a port town.
And there you have Day 3! Stay tuned for even more fun to come…
