It’s been a while… since I ran a mile. And that, I did, yesterday. Well, I ran/walked a mile but considering it’s been over a year? I’d say that’s a pretty big accomplishment. And I did that with zero pain during the run. Now? I’m a little sore and experiencing a little pain and I’m not sure if it’s normal or not.. I’m not sure if I’m going to regret that run or not.. but boy, it felt amazing. If you’re a runner, I’m sure you understand. If you’re not, I akin it to eating chocolate after being denied it for a year. THAT is the extent of my love for running. I also biked about 2 miles and boy… I was feeling it by that point! My legs are pretty much jello today… I’m sad that I’m THAT out of shape but all things considering, it could be much worse.
In other news, I think SC is one of the few places in the U.S. without snow at the moment. In fact, we are enjoying highs in the 60’s this weekend… dare I say it, almost spring-like? How’s the weather in your neck of the woods? Who’s ready for summer?!
I actually have been mixing my meals up a little this week…
This would be homemade chicken alfredo. OH MY JEEZ.
Pasta, chicken, alfredo sauce? I can’t complain.
And dessert. Oh boy… Possibly my most favorite dessert in the entire world?
Chocolate Lave Molten Cake. A la TJ’s…
And ofcourse, the required waffle.
The new Kashi Cereal that honestly, I can’t remember the name of right now.
Very good. But my home girl is right… definitely in need of some Cereal Viagra.
And laugh if you will but I was craving it… a Lean Cuisine pizza.
It was actually quite tasty.
And what’s this?
Red Velvet Cheesecake. People.
And TJ’s instant maple oats with peanut butter and more maple syrup.
Annnd TJ’s pumpkin pancakes.
I make them by mixing 1/3 cup of the mix, greek yogurt, egg whites, and water. It slims down the calories and adds protein. It also makes the texture super… gooey? So good.
Along with maple syrup and peanut butter.
