Chia seeds are awesome. I’m absolutely in love with them. 😀
They made an appearance in my breakfast of overnight oats, that were especially delicious… I must be on a roll!!
They contained oats, yogurt, milk, cinnamon, blueberries, almond butter, Crofter’s spread, 1/2 of a banana, and chia seeds sprinkled on the top.
Yum yum… and the chia seeds plumped up on top and made it… the only word I can describe it as is fluffy.. so good!!
For lunch I had a fabulous sandwich. I used to eat lunch meat all of the time but I haven’t in a while. However I discovered that Publix carries Boar’s Head yesterday… jackpot! Lunchmeat can be.. well.. eh.. but Boar’s Head takes it to a whole new level.
The sandwich contained chicken, baby spinach, hummus, and tomato on Italian 5 Grain.
Oh it was good. I haven’t had a sandwich like this in far, far too long.
With it I had a repeat of last night’s salad with greens, blueberries, walnuts, chopped apple, raisons, and strawberry/walnut dressing.
I love fruit in salads!! Some think it’s strange but I think it’s a match made in heaven!
I also had a kiwi.
Before my night class tonight, I had one of my most favorite bars: Odwalla Sweet and Salty Almond. I’m nuts about sweet/salty things and so this bar is right up my ally. Delicious.
I also had an apple but I forgot to take a picture.
I came home from class not really that hungry but I knew I needed to eat something so I made some oats… lame blogger alert but sometimes oats are perfect for dinner.
Not the most photogenic but good. It contained oats, milk, water, cinnamon, banana, Barney Butter, Pumpkin butter, and chia seeds. I actually used a frozen banana that I thawed in the microwave and it worked perfectly!
I had some cookies and cream frozen yogurt for dessert. My tummy is now very happy 😀
Also, thank you for all the well wishes to feel better! I took some cold medicine this morning and it… well cold medicines and I do not mix. They all put me to sleep… even Dayquil and others specifically made for the DAY. I don’t know why. So I tried a new brand today that was supposed to be for daytime and I only took half a dose… yet it still had the same effect. I managed to stay awake but I’ve been walking around all day in a daze.. honestly, it makes me feel like i’m drunk. Makes for an interesting day, I’ll tell you that much 😉
And I apologize for the really short post but I’m beat. Tuesdays get me every time.
I am thankful..
- Ran into someone from my past again (this happened a while ago with some bad results) and this time I did not get upset, I did not freak out, and I looked pretty darn good at the time 😀 Ok I know that probably didn’t make much sense…
- For my parents
- For opportunities
Random question for you tonight, if you are in a situation where you have multiple options, multiple paths to take, how do you decide what to do?
(Anyone else used to watch Boy Meet’s World? I did!!! I found this quote and I love it)
Shawn: Okay, its been raining for seven days. How do you explain that?
Cory: Warm air meets low pressure system?
Shawn: WRONG! It’s been raining because God is crying and he’s crying because he created you and Topanga to be the perfect role model of the perfect couples for the entire universe.

Aaahhhh, Boy Meets World, such an awesome show. If you’re not sure which road to choose, ask yourself how you’ll feel if one of your options was eliminated. Like when I was considering taking a job offer recently, I had no idea what to do. But when I asked myself what my initial reaction would be if I didn’t take the job. My response was, “Relieved.” So I didn’t take it. Sometimes those gut reactions are true and telling. Does that help at all?

That actually does help, thank you!

I used to love Boy Meets World. I was and am still in love with Topanga’s gorgeous hair!
I decide things by making lists…sounds silly but it really works! Pros and Cons…the whole nine yards. And I do it in excel so it’s easy to change around and delete things.

Nothing wrong with eating oats for dinner! If I could, I’d eat oats for breakfast, lunch, and dinner 🙂 I just love them that much and they’re so versatile!
I’m absolutely horrible at decision making, but I do my best to take into account the pros and cons of both options. Other times, I try to go with my first “gut feeling”. Sometimes the first thought we have is the right one because it comes from what we truly want, before we have the chance to overthink things.

I love fruits too..
I used to watch boy meets world every friday.. I think that’s when it was on.. right? WOW I can’t blieve now that was 10+ years ago. yikes!
My husband and I are complete engineers.. we make a list of pros and cons for each case/path/option… then we put it aside and individually evalueate it a couple times and finally make a decision together.

Do those seeds have a taste to them? I’ve wanted to try them out but I have no idea how the flavor of my foods would change.
I’ve had that odwalla bar before and I really liked it.
theprocessofhealing said:
No they do not have any sort of taste, which I love, because I can add them to anything without changing the flavor! They are great!
