This is going to be pretty short post, I must warn you. I. Am. Beat! PT was rough today, I have to say. It’s not that it was really intense today (I had my normal nice therapist) but I guess because I am STILL sore from Monday’s PT that it as just hard. It was also probably the most crowded it’s ever been while I was there. And the place where I do my therapy sees a lot of athletes… collegiate athletes… male collegiate athletes that are pretty fine, if you know what I mean 😉 And some of the stuff I have to do is pretty embarrassing when said guys are around but they have to do some pretty silly stuff themselves, which does make for some interesting things to watch while I’m on the cardio machines haha… so I’m not complaining.
I also got my bone stimulator machine today. I may take a picture of it sometime for you if you are interested but it’s not that exciting. It’s basically a little ultra-sound machine and I wear it for 20 minutes twice a day. And no, it doesn’t hurt. I can’t feel a thing, which is good. It will be even better if it works. Here’s to hoping!! I should feel a decrease in pain after I have used it for a bit, so we shall see!
After PT, my three best friends came over to my house and we hung for a bit and played some Uno Attack, because we know how to have a good time 😉 It was really great to see them though. My best friend and I have been friends since we were about 5 years old and met in day care. That’s a LONG time. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen much of her or my other friends in the past few months really because two have been student teaching and the other is in her last semester of nursing school. And in case you don’t know, those two things CONSUME your life, especially student teaching. They are all about to graduate in May. It’s bittersweet because I went to school with them and would be graduating with them if I had stayed in the teaching program. We’ve always done everything together so it’s strange to see them moving on and graduating without me. But I guess we all eventually have to make our paths and go our own ways!
I started the day off with a yogurt mess breakfast, I’ve been loving these lately.
It had yogurt, strawberries, 1/2 of a banana, Quaker Oatmeal Squares, and TJ’s almond butter.
All mixed together, it’s amazingness 🙂
Once again because of the time of my PT, I had to have a quick on-the-go lunch. I started off with a smoothie at home.
In a glass that I got for my birthday! How cute is it?!
Adorable.
And the smoothie was delish! It had the juice of 1 orange, 1/2 of a banana, plain Kefir, and crushed ice. Simple yet incredible! It would have been even better with some coconut!
I also had this Cliff Mojo Peanut Butter and Jelly bar.
YUM! I have met very few Cliff bars that I have not liked, especially their Mojo line.
I had an un-pictured apple after PT.
And then for dinner, it was a random mix of things but it worked.
I had a fried egg with a runny yolk. I used to HATE runny yolks but I don’t know, something happened and now I loooove them!
Along with some roasted sweet potato cubes that were seasoned with salt, cinnamon, and Agave Nectar.
And roasted zucchini that had garlic powder, salt, and rosemary. Rosemary and veggies like zucchini go sooo well together!
I apologize for the repetitive meals (i.e. sweet potatoes and whatnot) on the bloggie lately but some things are just SO easy, convenient, and delicious!
And then I had some cake for dessert.
I just can’t help myself when there is fresh birthday cake around… I know you’re not supposed to “eat your feelings” but sometimes, cake is just needed, you know?!
I do hope you have a fabulous night and a wonderful Thursday! I have a fun bone density scan tomorrow (woooo…) and then it’s all about packing for my trip, which entails making a list of things that I need to pack, packing, double-checking, and triple-checking. Can you tell I’m a tad obsessive when it comes to packing?
Good night loves!
Jess
Of all forms of caution, caution in love is perhaps the most fatal to true happiness.
– Bertrand Russell
“When all is said and done, you are part of me. That’s the way it was meant to be. People are brought together for a reason, everything happens for a reason. I believe the reason that you and me were brought together was because we complete one another. We fill in each other’s missing spots with love. And if someday God decides to tear us apart, I trust that there is a reason. Cause if there is a reason for love, there is a reason for life beyond it.”
